In 2017, the French industrial switch manufacturer APEM Group was added to the IDEC Group, expanding its product lineup in the HMI field.
This addition to the IDEC brand enabled market expansion via APEM-brand products that featured superior designability and environmental resistance, allowing the IDEC Group to provide a variety of products and solutions to customers in a broader range of industries.

Tokyo Sensor Co., Ltd. joined the IDEC Group on April 1, 2019, to further expand and develop our safety solutions business. The expanded lineup of safety-related equipment, including tape switches used in various applications and bumper switches capable of collision detection, enables us to meet the diverse needs of our customers.

In April 2020, the company expanded its solutions capabilities by merging with Welcat Corporation, providing the market with handheld terminals and RFID wireless products.
